spacer image
The on-campus independent student film organization, The 2380 Project, has finally announced its newest feature film: "The Sound of Rockets." Written and directed by Frank Papa III, "Rockets" tells the story of Tyler, an upper-middle class male who has become disillusioned with his parent’s country club lifestyle and sets himself out on a self-destructive rollercoaster ride of alcohol and high-stakes poker forcing away his best friend, Ryan, and the love of his life, Nancy.  Although he aims to free himself from social constraint, his two housemates,Denard and Travis, attempt to frame Tyler for a drug score that they ultimately plan to end with his murder.  Undeterred, Tyler follows his choices to the very bottom of despair, and only through the help of a spiritual guide is he able to recover and fight to regain the life that he so carelessly threw away. Two days of auditions have already taken place and now is the final opportunity to try out. The 2380 Project will host two final days of auditions on Wednesday, November 4 from 5:00pm to 9:00pm and Saturday, November 7 from 11:00am to 2:00pm. Auditions are open to anyone and everyone interested in trying out, whether you've had prior acting experience or not. Don't miss a great opportunity to fulfill your dream of being on-camera in a feature length movie!

Finalist on 2009's America's Got Talent!

JUNK ROCK...powerful industrial drumming, backed by metal grinding guitar and a hip hop/funk DJ. Their epic stage show features a monstrous set comprised of metal, machines, buckets and a barrage of drums all backed by the hard rock and raw funk of the DJ. Performing on everything from their signature "trash" kits to plastic buckets, huge ladders, and mortar casings, the band of two drummers, electric guitar and a DJ keep the audience on their feet through 80 minutes of spark-emitting, masterfully played power tools, and a mind-blowing beatbox "vocal artillery" session, backed up by chest crushing, power-driven, sweat-drenched drumming.
