spacer image
Students are encouraged to check their Spring 2010 schedules via ZipLine.

• Log into ZipLine with your UANet ID and password
• Click on the “Students” tab, select “Student Center” from the list for your class schedule.
• Information regarding course meeting times, days and room location is given in real-time; in other words, all information is up to date as it is retrieved.

The Office of the University Registrar sends an e-mail to the instructor of record and all enrolled students’ UA Net e-mail address when there is a classroom change made in the course(s) they are enrolled. It is recommended that instructors and students check their UANet e-mail often for any important messages from the University as this will be the official means of notification used by the Office of the University Registrar.

Students may access a computer from many locations on campus including:

• Simmons Hall – Lobby
• Student Union – Laptop Check Out and Kiosks
• Residence Halls – Computer Labs
• Bierce Library – Computer Labs and Laptop Check Out
• The Polsky Building – Room 192
• Buchtel College of Arts & Sciences building – Computer Lab Room 103B and Kiosks in Atrium
• College of Business Administration Building – Room 102

For students who do not have access to a computer, a listing of courses with classroom assignments will be available at the Student Union Information Desk and the Bierce Library Circulation Desk.

Questions regarding your course schedule may be directed to the Office of the University Registrar at Registrar@uakron.edu or 330-972-8300 (choose option #4 for Registration).

spacer image
spacer image
spacer image
Whenever UA closes because of the weather, there are several ways to get the news. We’ll put an alert on the home page, and we’ll send immediate messages via UA e-mail, our free Z-Alert text messaging service and our free Z-Alert Twitter feed.

We’ll also notify local TV and radio (see list lower on this page) and the University’s alert line at 330-972-7669 will be updated.

Here is the University’s closing procedures.

The English Language Institute (ELI), UA's English program for international students, invites UA students to participate in its Conversation Partners Program. Through this program, the ELI pairs an international student who is learning English in our program with an American partner for one hour of informal conversation per week. ELI students come from all over the world and bring with them a wide variety of educational, political, cultural, religious, and linguistic backgrounds. This program is a wonderful opportunity to learn about another country and culture AND to make an international student feel welcome here in Akron.

Sign-up begins NOW in the ELI Office in Olin Hall 302. The one-hour meetings will begin mid-February and ends April 30. Call (330) 972-7544 for more information.
