NEW Summer Bierce Library Hours! June 21 - Aug. 13

University Libraries and Associated Student Government (ASG) are happy to announce that Bierce Library will be extending its summer hours starting Monday, June 21st! Bierce will be open an extra hour Monday-Thursday, now closing at 9pm instead of 8pm!

UofA has more students enrolled during Summer Session II and the additional hour is to help students who are on campus later in the evening.

First UAF Update: How to get money for your student group

Attention Student Groups:

The UAF Process for allocation of funding has been changing over the course of the past year. Please watch Zipmail for important announcements regarding these changes.

Update #1:

Each student group will have an opportunity to request funding via the new “Project Packet” for three events or projects that your student group may organize over the course of the year. The maximum allocation that may be rewarded will be capped at $3,000 per student group. Please keep in mind that funding is not guaranteed and is subject to approval.

Please watch for more communications over the course of the summer.

The University of Akron's Zipmail is a compilation of University announcements for University students, sent each Friday unless circumstances require otherwise. The deadline for submissions to be considered by the University is 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Zipmail is a University of Akron communication vehicle established for the benefit of The University of Akron to communicate with its students. Items will be accepted for publication only when the University is directly involved in the activity through participation, sponsorship, or partnership with one of its recognized organizations, colleges or departments. The University reserves the right to edit or to refuse to run any submission for any reason. Zipmail is not, nor is it intended to be, a public forum or a limited public forum. Questions about the implementation of this policy may be directed to zipmail@uakron.edu.

Items to be considered for inclusion in Zipmail should be sent through the Zipmail Event Submission Form. Due to the volume of submissions received, items will not run more than one time.
