United Way of Summit County is excited to announce the seventh annual Docs Who Rock show. Local physicians have put together excellent bands with a variety of musical talents ranging from Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 23 to "Life is a Highway".

One of the highlights of this year’s show is the much anticipated return to the Docs Who Rock stage of Dr. Terry Gordon. Over the years, Dr. Gordon has imitated a variety of pop culture icons, including Rod Stewart, Austin Powers, Mick Jagger, Michael Jackson, Barry Manilow and Tina Turner. We are all excited to see what he will bring this year.

Tickets are on sale at E.J. Thomas box office or at ticketmaster.com for $12 or $25 for seats in the ‘Surgical Arena’ section (so you can see them operate up close). Another option for hungry music fans is ‘Take Two With Food,’ which includes two Surgical Arena seats and a $50 gift certificate to Luigi’s Restaurant for just $80.

Proceeds of the event benefit United Way of Summit County, helping our community to LIVE UNITED though giving, advocating, and volunteering.

Shoop and EJ Thomas Tag Team for Halloween Oct. 22 - Oct. 29

The Shoop Groop promotion now has an interesting twist. Rather than sprinkling 20’s all over campus, we will be showering the campus with “Boo at the Roo” tickets all October instead. Boo at the Roo starts popping at 9:09 on October 28th; complete with contests, dancing, food, cash bar and much more. To ease your quest for success, Shoop will be wearing a bunch of different Halloween costumes around campus. Just look for something out of the ordinary and it will probably be him (but no guarantees). Remember the rules of the promotion? Read the paper, be the first to find Anthony Schupp, pass the quiz, and make a guest appearance to Boo at the Roo. Read the Buchtelite. It’s stoopidly easy.

Artie will be discussing how he created the greatest festival in history, and signing his new book "The Pied Piper of Woodstock."
Woodstock featured amazing performances by The Who, Santana, Janis Joplin, Credence Clearwater Revival, Joe Cocker, Sly & the Family Stone, Jimi Hendrix, Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, and more, and was an Acadamy Award-Winning film!

Artie Kornfeld, “The Father of Woodstock,” was solely responsible for the historic record & Warner Brothers movie contracts. He has been a Composer, Publisher, Producer, Manager, & Promoter of over 100 Platinum projects. He was the first Vice President of Rock Music at Capitol Records (or any label). As the Manager and Creative Director of the band “Survivor,” he took the unknown band to the top selling single “Eye of the Tiger.” Artie’s guidance to the late Rick Carroll
(KROQ) led to the explosion of alternative music & radio.
