SPRING 2011 STUDENT PARKING PERMITS

Spring parking permits are now available!

UNDERGRAD Commuters and GRAD Students:
You may stop into the Office of Parking Services and pick up your new permit. Or you may log into Zipline and request to have the permit sent to your university mailing address. The deadline to have your permit mailed is Sunday December, 19 at midnight. After this deadline, all commuter permits must be picked up in the Office of Parking Services.

GRAD Assistants:
You must stop into the Office of Parking Services to pick up your permit, it cannot be mailed to you. If you want the departmental co-pay credit, you must complete an application through the Parking Services website. Click on this Graduate Application link and log in with your UANet ID and password. Be sure to select the appropriate semester and department. It is recommended that you complete the application a few days prior to picking up your permit from Parking Services.

RESIDENT Students:
You must stop into the Office of Parking Services to pick up your permit, it cannot be mailed to you. Permits are available now through the start of the Spring semester.

QUAKER SQUARE Resident Students:
Information about Quaker Square resident permits and gate-cards will be made available after the first of the year.

Ocasek Natatorium
• Monday - Friday, 6 am - 8 am, 11 am - 1pm, 4 pm - 7pm

Please be aware that from Friday, December 24, 2010 - Sunday, January 2, 2011 the Student Recreation & Wellness Center and Ocasek Natatorium will be closed along with the rest of the University. Also during winter break the Leisure Pool will be down for construction.

Watch the Men’s Soccer College Cup Match in the Student Union Tonight! Dec. 10

Looking for a place to watch the Men’s Soccer College Cup match tonight? The Department of Student Life will be featuring the match on the big screen in the Student Union Theatre. The first match between North Carolina and Louisville will be on at 8:30 and UA’s match against Michigan begins at approximately 11pm.

The Student Union building will lock at 12 midnight per the normal business hour schedule, but we will welcome all visitors already in the facility to stay and watch the match until it concludes. Vending machines will be available for drink options, but feel free to bring in any snacks.

Audiology and Speech Center welcoming new clients!

The Audiology and Speech Center, located in the Polsky building, provides diagnostic evaluation and intervention services by student clinicians under the supervision of experienced, licensed, and certified clinical instructors. We are currently welcoming new clients of all ages. The hours of operation are 8:00-5:00 Monday through Friday.

Services include:
-Evaluation and treatment of children and adults for a wide range of speech, language, swallowing, and cognitive problems.
-Individual and group speech and language therapy
-Audiologic testing
-Hearing aid counseling, selecting, dispensing rechecks and repairs.
-Hearing aid orientation.
-Individual and group audiologic rehabilitation
-Family counseling and support groups for individuals and/or family members who have communication disorders.
-Assistive technology, augmentative/alternative communication laboratory.

Cultural and design study tour to London May 18 - May 28

The interior design and fashion merchandising programs are offering a tour of London, England, in May 2011. Participants may pursue cultural interests, visit interior design/architectural and fashion sites or take excursions to Stonehenge and Bath. Students may also earn 1-3 credits.
