Parking lot adjustments for Wednesday’s home football game

The University will host its first ever mid-week football game on Wednesday evening. The normal football parking plan has been adjusted to avoid the disruption of classes and other activities occurring that day.

Only two lots will be fully closed:
  • The lot directly outside of the House of LaRose Lobby at InfoCision Stadium – Summa Field (Lot 6). Much of this lot will be closed on Monday evening for television production trucks that will arrive on Tuesday. The entire lot will be closed on Tuesday evening and will remain closed for all of Wednesday.
  • The large gravel lot on the corner of Spicer and Exchange Streets (Lot 9). This lot will be closed at 11 p.m. Tuesday, and will remain closed throughout the day on Wednesday. Resident students who typically parked there are being asked to relocate their vehicles to the new South Campus Parking Deck on Exchange Street.

The following lots will be partially affected:
  • The west half of the lot next to the Stiles Athletic Field House on Spicer Street (Lot 10) will be closed. The remaining half of the lot, along with the connecting lot next to the Ocasek Natatorium (Lot 8), will remain open.
  • The bottom level of the East Campus Parking Deck (Lot 1) will be closed, including the entrance from Carroll Street. The upper four levels, with access from Spicer Street, will remain open.
  • The lot behind the Computer Center on Wolf Ledges Parkway (Lot 34) will have 25 spaces coned off on the west side, but the majority of the lot will remain open.
All other lots that are typically closed for home football games will remain open. These include: Lots 2, 4, and 13 near Rhodes Arena; Lot 8 near the Ocasek Natatorium; Lot 7 on Orchard Street; and Lots 14 and 15 near Olin Hall on Buchtel Avenue. Then, at 2 p.m. parking attendants will be in place in all of these lots, and they will become exit-only for anyone who does not have a football game parking permit. Attendants will be in place at many other lots across campus at that time as well for general public parking, but all UA permits will be honored at those locations not named above.

Alternative parking will be available throughout the day in the new South Campus Parking Deck.
