The Lights Help Project is actively helping to illuminate University Park at night, making it a safer place to be. We report lights that are either flickering or out to Ohio Edison following routine inspections - perhaps you've seen the pink tape we use on poles to indicate where these malfunctioning street lights are. We also report lights being blocked by trees to the city, and they come out and trim branches.

You can help us by reporting flickering or out lights near where you live. All you need to do is tell us the address of the light, and we will come out and inspect the light at night.

We are now on Facebook (look up "Lights Help Project - Akron, OH on Facebook), as well as Twitter (@lightshelp). You can also contact us via email at lightshelp@gmail.com

Do you have extra meal swipes left over at the end of the week and are unsure what to buy at Zees? Do you have an overwhelming amount of food in your dorm room? If so, here is a positive solution!

Serving with Swipes is a food program that allows you to buy food with extra meal swipes and donate it to the poor in our community. Packaged, canned, and other nonperishable goods are all acceptable. This is a great way to serve others, especially those who have much less than we do.
