An arrest has been made related to the sexual assault reported to have occurred July 6 south of campus at 22 E. Exchange St.
A 23-year-old Stow man has been charged with rape and booked into the Summit County Jail. The suspect is not a UA student.
The University sent a composite of the man to campus by e-mail Thursday. Employees in Bierce Library recognized him and recalled his involvement in an incident in the library about a year ago. At the time, University police spoke with him; records from that conversation were used to identify him.
Other people who saw the e-mail provided additional information to the police.
"We're grateful for the tips and for the excellent work by Tom Shannon, who is one of our detectives," said University police chief Paul Callahan.
