Issue Tracking Software
spacer image
spacer image
spacer image
spacer image
Footprints, a new problem/resolution tracking system, is now in use by the ITS Division. The new system is a powerful tool that allows ITS to track every call, question, problem, and solution to any of the division's service locations such as the Help Desk, Technology Learning Support Services and PC services.

When a request for information or help is made, the service location opens a ticket in Footprints and logs your contact information and request. You receive an e-mail when the ticket is created, assigned to a technician/repair unit, updated and closed. To assist you in tracking the progress of your issue/request, Footprints notifies you via e-mail each time your ticket is updated. The new system also has an automated escalation process that automatically notifies the manager of the assigned unit when the ticket is not being worked on.

When your ticket is closed, a survey is automatically generated and e-mailed to you. By filling out the survey, you are able to evaluate the service you received. If necessary, a manager from ITS will follow-up with you to address your questions and concerns about the service.

For more information, contact the Footprints Administration team at (330) 972-2407 or e-mail footprints_admin@uakron.edu.
