Students are encouraged to check their summer 2012 schedules via ZipLine.

• Log into ZipLine with your UANet ID and password
• Click on the “Students” tab, and then select “Student Center”, under the “Access My” section.
• Information regarding course meeting times, days and room location is given in real-time; in other words, all information is up to date as it is retrieved.

The Office of the University Registrar sends an e-mail to the instructor of record and all enrolled students’ UANet e-mail address when there is a classroom change made in the course(s) they are enrolled. It is recommended that instructors and students check their UANet e-mail often for any important messages from the University as this will be the official means of notification used by the Office of the University Registrar.

Students may access a computer from many locations on campus including:

• Simmons Hall – Lobby
• Student Union – Laptop Check Out and Kiosks
• Residence Halls – Computer Labs
• Bierce Library – Computer Labs and Laptop Check Out
• The Polsky Building – Room 192

Camp Digi-Lit: Student summer camps focus on mystery writing June 18 - June 29

Camp Digi-Lit is an educational summer day-camp program through the College of Education’s Center for Literacy that is designed to nurture, encourage and inspire future generations of readers, writers, learners and thinkers. Camps are structured recreation programs with an emphasis on digital literacy and reading.

Forensic eFiles is offered June 18-22 for students in grades fifth through eighth, and Uncover the eTreasure is scheduled June 25-29 for grades second through fifth. The weeklong camps are held 9:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. in Zook Hall and the cost is $200 per camper or $175 for multiple siblings.

Akron Women's Basketball Summer Camps 2012 June 25 - June 28

The time is here! Summer is right around the corner and The University of Akron Women’s Basketball team has scheduled their summer camp dates! The Individual Camp is being held June 25th through June 28th from 9am-4pm. The cost of the camp is $140.00 and for girls ages 9 to 14. There will also be a Li’l Zips Day Camp for boys and girls ages 3 to 8 on June 26th from 9am-11am. The cost of the day camp is $30.00. Check-in will be held in the lobby of Rhodes Arena on the first day of camp as early as 8:15am. Group and Faculty/Staff discounts are also available! Camp brochures are available on the women’s basketball website and payment in full must accompany each camp application. Imagine being the first individual to have access to the breaking news of the Buchtelite... and get paid for it! This individual will be required to work approximately 6 hours per week and will be responsible for distributing 3000 editions of the Buchtelite to 30 locations on campus as well as recycling all remaining papers from the prior edition. A reliable means of transportation is mandatory. This individual will be expected to complete the distribution route no later than 9:00 a.m. on the date of publication. The papers will be delivered to the dock at the Student Union by an outside printing company around 6:30 a.m. and it will take this individual approximately 2 hours to complete. There are 52 publications dates on Tuesdays and Thursdays during the 2012/13 academic year.

Intramural Sports is offering 2 sessions of activites this summer. Leagues available include Softball, Ultimate Frisbee, Grass Volleyball and Kickball, all to be played at Buchtel Field.

All enrolled students (in any academic summer session), staff and faculty will be eligible to participate. Students returning for Fall 2012 who are not enrolled in summer classes may either purchase a full SRWC summer membership, or simply purchase a summer Intramural Pass for $5 to participate in all summer sports.

Registration for all activites is currently open, and closes on Monday, May 14th for the first session, and closes on Thursday, June 21st for the second session. Every 40 seconds one person dies by suicide worldwide. Through this unique course offered in the Fall 2012 semester, learn about the factors that increase suicide risk, the theoretical and research evidence supporting interventions, and how to effectively treat individuals who struggle with suicidal thoughts and behaviors.
