Summer in the City — free concerts and more

For the first time ever, the University has a special, exclusive arrangement with the city of Akron that will allow you to attend most city-sponsored downtown events this summer for free with your Zip Card. Just visit UA’s new Summer in the City website to see the schedule, including a list of Lock 3 paid admission events where you can get a single (1) free admission with your Zip Card.

This summer of concerts and other fun events is part of the growing UArts initiative, which includes continued free admission to the Akron Art Museum. It is being offered through a partnership with the city of Akron so that students, faculty, staff and retirees will have a single freeadmission to those events requiring paid admission.

We soon will be announcing several events where you and up to three guests will be able to attend for free.

Watch future editions of Zipmail for updates as the summer unfolds.
