From “Living on a Prayer” to “It's My Life,” the Lock 3 stage will be rocked by Bad Medicine, The Bon Jovi Tribute Show, on Friday, June 7, beginning at 8:30 p.m. At 7 p.m., Jonah Koslen’s Stage Pass Now begins the evening with a range of rock songs, many of them well known to Michael Stanley Band fans, such as “Waste a Little Time On Me,” and “Nothings Gonna Change My Mind.” Admission is free to the concert. Lock 3 is located at 200 S. Main St.

Bad Medicine, formed in 2000 by a group of musicians from New York and New Jersey — Jon Bon Jovi's home state, performs throughout the United States.

Next up on Friday, June 14, at 8:30 p.m. is THUNDERBOX, the all girls tribute to the best of metal. The group performs songs by Metallica, Iron Maiden, Motorhead and Motley Crue. At 7 p.m., Mouth Wired Shut, a Cleveland-based band playing hard rock, will take the stage.

Both concerts are part of the entertainment and activities planned this summer in Downtown Akron, much of it free.

For the second consecutive year, through the uArts Initiative — UA's special, exclusive arrangement with the city of Akron — students, faculty and staff and can receive free admission to some of the city-sponsored events that require paid admission.
