University to test its tornado warning system on Wednesday
spacer image
spacer image
spacer image
spacer image
The University will test its tornado warning system at 9:50 a.m. Wednesday, March 16. The test will be audible across campus. Communities and organizations across the state will be testing their systems at that time.

Whenever a tornado warning is issued for the greater Akron area, the siren will sound, and you should enter a nearby building and proceed to the lowest level, staying away from glass windows or doors if possible.

Additional tornado tips are online, courtesy of the University's Department of Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety.
