Beginning on Monday, May 23, 2005, the parking area between Guzzetta Hall and Robertson Dining Hall (Lots 30 and 31) will be closed for construction of the Guzzetta Hall addition through August 2005.

From construction start through July 2005, expect heavy construction with jackhammer noise. We have coordinated this work to occur during summer session so it would be the least disruptive for most of our students.

The Summer Program in the Alps, which has been held since 1987 in the French city of Faverges, began this year on the weekend of May 14.

Fifteen UA students were scheduled to arrive on May 14 and 15 for their six-week study program during which they are taking classes, exploring the French Alps, Paris, Geneva, and Italy's French-speaking Aosta valley, while living with French host families.

Program director, Robert Jeantet (Modern Languages), is once again posting an illustrated Web report of the program's activities twice weekly for the duration of the program, as he has done for every program since 1997. The Web reports can be viewed at http://www.uakron.edu/modlang/05trip/ .
