Attending the Akron-Kent State game? Leave early
spacer image
spacer image
spacer image
spacer image
If you are planning to attend the Akron-Kent State basketball game at noon tomorrow, you are urged to leave early to allow extra time for parking.

The Chapel is hosting a large event Saturday morning and afternoon, and it had made previous arrangements with the University for its patrons to use the East Campus Parking Deck (Lot 1). In addition, Ocasek Natatorium and the Athletics Field House are hosting events.

If the East Campus Deck is full when you arrive, your next best options are:
  • Lot 10 just east of the Athletics Field House
  • Lot 9 on Vine Street by Wallaroo Residence Hall
  • The Auburn Science Deck (Lot 36)
  • The Schrank Hall Deck (Lot 37)
  • The Exchange Street Deck (Lot 39)
  • The surface lots by Schrank Hall (Lot 38) and the Exchange Street Deck (Lot 41)
Lots 2 and 8, near Rhodes Arena, are reserved for season ticket holders and donors.

The game will be broadcast regionally by Fox Sports Net Ohio.

Personnel from Parking Services and the UA Police Department will be on hand to help drivers. The gates to Rhodes Arena will open at 10:30 a.m.

Live Band Karaoke March 7
7:17 pm - 10:30 pm
spacer image
spacer image
spacer image
spacer image
The name says it all—Karaoke with a live band. Combining the silly fun of karaoke with the energy of a live rock band, Live Band Karaoke allows anyone to fulfill their singing fantasy. Yet singing is only half the fun! Watching others perform their own unique renditions of rock’s greatest songs also contributes to the hilarity. Some singers belt out the tunes, while others make up for a lack of singing ability with a rowdy stage presence. Either way, the irony and humor work on many levels as the band rocks out the songs true to their original recording. Band members can also contribute as back up vocalists and help out with forgotten lyrics. Get ready for a fun-filled evening!!
