spacer image
Students are encouraged to check their spring 2007 schedules via ZipLine.

• Log into ZipLine with their UANet ID and password
• Click on the “Students” tab, select “Academics” from the list and then select “View My Class Schedule.”
• Information regarding course meeting times, days and room location is given in real-time; in other words, all information is up to date as it is retrieved.

The Office of the University Registrar sends an e-mail to the faculty member of record and all enrolled students’ UA Net e-mail address when there is a classroom change made in the course(s) they are enrolled. It is recommended that faculty and students check their UANet e-mail often for any important messages from the University as this will be the official means of notification used by the Office of the University Registrar.

Students may access a computer from many locations on campus including:

• Simmons Hall – Lobby
• Student Union – Laptop Check Out and Kiosks
• Residence Halls – Computer Labs
• Carroll Hall – Adult Focus Office, Room 55
• Bierce Library – Computer Labs and Laptop Check Out
• The Polsky Building – Room 192
• Buchtel College of Arts & Sciences building – Computer Lab Room 103B and Kiosks in Atrium
• College of Business Administration Building – Room 102

For students who do not have access to a computer, a listing of courses with classroom assignments will be available at the Student Union Information Desk and the Bierce Library Circulation Desk.

Questions regarding your course schedule may be directed to the Office of the University Registrar at Registration@uakron.edu or 330-972-8300 (choose option #4 for Registration).

Closing of parking deck will make parking tight at times
spacer image
spacer image
spacer image
spacer image
Parking in the area of Gladwin Hall and the Auburn Science and Engineering Center is likely to be tight on weekdays between 8:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. because the Auburn Parking Deck has been closed. Students are encouraged to leave home earlier than normal, especially during the first few weeks of the semester.

The Office of Parking Services has taken steps to address the resulting shift in campus parking. First, the major lots and decks on campus are now “all permit,” meaning that they will be open to any driver with a valid UA parking permit. In addition, Parking Services has created an equal number of new spaces to offset the loss of the Auburn Deck, though some of those spaces may not be as convenient to motorists. More details, including recommended parking strategies, are here.

To help motorists, a parking hotline will be available the first two weeks of the semester. Those who call 330-972-PARK (7275) weekdays will hear a recorded message describing which lots are full and which are open. The message will be updated throughout the day.

The parking deck will be converted into much-needed classrooms, offices and laboratories for the Department of Biology.

To help ease parking demand, campus shuttle route is revised
spacer image
spacer image
spacer image
spacer image
To help motorists affected by the closing of the Auburn Parking Deck, the route for the free campus shuttle has been improved. Starting Tuesday, the shuttle will run between the Polsky Deck and the traffic circle just north of the Goodyear Polymer Building. The shuttle will run from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and from 7:30 a.m. to noon on Friday.

With the new route, the shuttle should be able to complete a loop in less than 7 minutes, making it more convenient for all to use. The shuttle will no longer travel to the College Street traffic circle near Bierce Library.

The shuttle is an Akron Metro bus with signs that read “Campus Loop.”

For more information about the shuttle, including a map of the new route, go here.
