The merrymakers of the Paragon Brass Quintet are promising musical movie mayhem during Gotcha!, an April Fools' Day concert at 7:30 p.m., Sunday, April 1, in Guzzetta Recital Hall, 157 University Ave.

Paragon will provide the sound track for a screening of the 1913 silent movie “Race for Life,” a melodramatic spoof in which automobile racer Barney Oldfield rescues a lovely heroine tied to railroad tracks. Rounding out the program will be Paul Nagle’s “A Tribute to MGM,” Richard Rogers’ “Sound of Music,” and James Horner’s “Titanic.”

The Paragon pranksters include UA faculty members Scott Johnston, Jack Brndiar, Edward Zadrozny, William Hoyt and Russ Tinkham.

The concert is part of the UA School of Music’s Kulas Concert Series. Tickets may be purchased at the door for $10 for general admission; $8 for seniors, UA faculty, staff, alumni, and parents of current UA students; and $3 for non-UA students. Admission is free for UA students when they show their Zip Card. Parking is free.
