You can review the submitted names on the LMS Selection Web Site.

Members of the committees will make the final name selection. A significant prize will be awarded to the author of the winning name.

Please join us on the following dates for vendor presentations of the four learning management systems under consideration to succeed WebCT.

June 18-19 - Blackboard
June 20-21 - Desire2Learn
June 26 only - Sakai
June 27-28 - Angel

Blackboard will be set up in Student Union Ballroom C from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on June 18-19. Desire2Learn will be set up in the Student Union Ballroom C from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and in Leigh Hall Room 208 from 1 to 4 p.m. on June 20. (Please note the change in location for the afternoon session on June 20.)

On June 21, Desire2Learn will be set up in the Student Union Ballroom C from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Hands-on activities and individualized events will be offered throughout
the day for those who wish to drop in.

The Sakai and Angel presentations will be set up from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the
Martin University Center South Room on the dates listed above. Presentations
will be at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Hands-on activities and individualized events will
be offered throughout the day.

Videotapes of each presentation will be available on the LMS 06 selection Web site. You'll also find updates on the site.

There will be free and anonymous HIV/AIDS testing on campus. Results will be available in 20 minutes. Please call UA Health Services at 330-972-7808 to schedule an appointment with only your birth date and the time that you request. You them will be told the location.

Intramural 2-Person Golf Scramble July 8

The Student Recreation and Wellness Center will host a summer golf scramble beginning at 10 a.m., Sunday, July 8, at Mogadore Country Club. The entry fee is $27 per person. The event is open to all faculty, staff and students. The fee covers 18 holes of golf and a golf cart.

Entries are due by 7 p.m., June 28, in the OASIS office at the Student Recreation and Wellness Center.

The University of Akron's Zipmail is a compilation of University announcements for University students, sent each Friday unless circumstances require otherwise. The deadline for submissions to be considered by the University is 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Zipmail is a University of Akron communication vehicle established for the benefit of The University of Akron to communicate with its students. Items will be accepted for publication only when the University is directly involved in the activity through participation, sponsorship, or partnership with one of its recognized organizations, colleges or departments. The University reserves the right to edit or to refuse to run any submission for any reason. Zipmail is not, nor is it intended to be, a public forum or a limited public forum. Questions about the implementation of this policy may be directed to zipmail@uakron.edu.

Items to be considered for inclusion in Zipmail should be sent through the Zipmail Event Submission Form. Due to the volume of submissions received, items will not run more than one time.
