Have you thought about the benefits of a co-op or internship? Are you ready to obtain the essential experience needed for life after graduation? Or do you feel you need to learn more about your anticipated career? In fact, more than 70 percent of employers hire students directly on from their co-op/internship experience.

If you answered yes to either of the above questions and you are admitted to your degree granting college, then you should plan on attending an orientation, either in-person or online through WebCT. Our online orientations are available twice a week and allow you to navigate through the process quickly.

Orientations require a pre-registration; call us at 330- 972-7747. The next in-person orientation is on:
  • Thursday, Aug. 2
  • 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.
  • Simmons 301

The Center for Career Management is here to connect you to your internship/co-op as well as your full-time job search. During the upcoming fall semester, the Center will be providing a variety of ways to connect you with employers and to prepare you for your career. The Center’s Career Fairs, On-Campus Recruiting and Career Advising Appointments are just a few of the opportunities to connect with employers and get ahead of the job search process.

We encourage all seniors and juniors to begin thinking now about the job search process as it can take 3 to 6 months to secure a position. Take advantage of the summer months to meet with a career adviser, finalize your resume and prepare for all of the fall on-campus interviews and career fairs. Employers are already scheduling interview times for on-campus so don’t miss out on FirstEnergy, Goodyear Tire and Rubber, Frito Lay, Macy’s and Progressive to name a few.
