Parking task force posts draft recommendations on Web

spacer image
The preliminary recommendations from the Parking Study Task Force have been posted on the Web for students and others to review. The committee was formed in January to study parking on campus and issue recommendations.

Among other recommendations, the group suggests that a new parking deck should be built, resident students should park overnight in outlying lots and decks, and a shuttle system should be developed to run the periphery of campus.

There is a page on the site for you to submit your improvements to the recommendations. Task force members ask that you provide your feedback by Friday, Aug. 31.

We still have full tuition/fees scholarships available for fall 2007

To see if you qualify, call James at 330-972-7959. This program has saved many from student loans and/or worse... dropping out of college all together.

Join The Zips Programming Network as we kick off another year of our monthly movie series with the showing of Spider-Man 3.

Peter Parker has finally managed to strike a balance between his devotion to M.J. and his duties as a superhero. But there is a storm brewing on the horizon. When his suit suddenly changes, turning jet-black and enhancing his powers, it transforms Peter as well, bringing out the dark, vengeful side of his personality that he is struggling to control. Under the influence of the suit, Peter becomes overconfident and starts to neglect the people who care for him most. Forced to choose between the seductive power of the new suit and the compassionate hero he used to be, Peter must overcome his personal demons as two of the most-feared villains yet, Sandman and Venom, gather unparalleled power and a thirst for retribution to threaten Peter and everyone he loves.

The movie will be shown Saturday, August 25 at 3:30 pm and Sunday, Aug. 26 at 8 pm in The Gardner Theatre on the second floor of the Student Union.

Student Union improves service to those who borrow laptops
spacer image
spacer image
spacer image
spacer image
The Student Union Information Center will be providing a new service as of 08-27-2007. The service will consist of individuals who are interested in checking out a laptop being placed on a waiting list when we are currently out of laptops. You will fill out your information on the list and receive a number.

The Waiting List will consist of 20 spots and it is on a first come first serve basis. When laptops become available, two announcements will be made. The second will be a reminder 10 minutes after the first announcement to the people on the waiting list to come receive their laptop. To receive your laptop you must return the number that was given to you when you were put on the list. After 20 minutes of the first announcement the waiting list expires and you lose your space on the list.

You must return the number if you are put on the list to the Information Center. Once we have a significant amount of laptops back we can return to the regular laptop checkout procedure.

If you have any further questions you can stop up at the Information Center located in the Student Union second floor. Or you may contact us at 330-972-4636.
