spacer image
The Residence Hall Program Board and the Student Union will be hosting hypnotist Michael C. Anthony Tuesday, September 9, at 9:09 p.m. in the Student Union Ballroom.

"Imagine this…you’re sitting in the front row and several of your good friends are on stage to volunteer for Michael C. Anthony’s performance. Michael utters a few words, snaps his fingers and you see your friends, one by one, drop to the floor sound asleep. Michael then works his 'magic' and upon waking, one of your friends jumps to her feet, grabs the microphone and starts singing because she believes she is Madonna. Another friend has a horrified look on his face because he can’t remember his name no matter how hard he tries. Somebody else is frantically scratching all over her body from imaginary insects. All along, your most intelligent friend has been rolling all over the stage in combat, shooting invisible aliens with his shoe!"

Admission is free and the show is open to all University of Akron students.

Fee adjustments for graduation applications
spacer image
spacer image
spacer image
spacer image
Beginning with this fall semester, the $5 fee assessed for second major applications and minor applications has been eliminated for students.

Also effective this fall semester, any late graduation applications received in the Office of the University Registrar will be assessed a $100 Late Graduation Application Fee. As in the past, students must obtain a letter from their dean's office that clearly states the rationale for granting permission to violate the graduation application deadline.

Reminder to Spring 2004 graduation applicants: Spring 2004 graduation applications are due in the Office of the University Registrar by Monday, September 15. Graduation applications received after the September 15 deadline will be subject to the $100 Late Graduation Application Fee.

Students can obtain a graduation application form online at http://www3.uakron.edu/registrar/grad.html or in person in the Student and Administrative Services building. Students can avoid the Late Graduation Application Fee by submitting their application by the scheduled deadline. The application deadlines are May 15 for fall graduation, September 15 for spring graduation and February 15 for summer graduation.

Questions regarding the graduation application process may be directed to the Academic Auditing and Graduation Services Office at either Commencement@uakron.edu or (330) 972-8300.
