spacer image
In partnership with the Institute of Reading Development, Workforce Development and Continuing Education is offering two sessions of Speed Reading during Fall 2003.

The first session will be held Saturdays and Sundays, September 20,21,27 and 28, from 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. The second session will be held on the same days from 1:00-4:00 p.m.

In this program students will double their reading speed in textbooks, and triple their speed in easier reading materials. In addition, the comprehension, concentration and retention techniques students learn will enable them to remember more, even though they are reading much faster. Students will learn the best way to study textbooks, take notes, prepare for tests and develop their vocabulary. As a result, students will be able to finish their school assignments in less time and get better grades.

Includes Lifetime Instruction Privilege: Students may repeat this program at any time in the future--for free!

Professional instructors teach these popular classes from the Institute of Reading Development, which has been teaching these programs for the past 33 years. And because The University of Akron Workforce Development and Continuing Education Program, a non-profit organization, offers the programs as a community service the tuition is only $289--less than half the cost of similar programs.
