Join The Sociology Club on Wednesday, Oct. 3rd from 3:00 to 4:30 p.m. in Olin Hall 124 and watch a video that explores bias and racism in many forms through the use of historical examples and realities of modern day.

A reunion of artists and ceramicists affiliated with the Mary Schiller Myers School of Art over the past forty years is celebrated in the new exhibition: "All the Difference: Works in Clay", at the Emily Davis Gallery of Folk Hall (150 E. Exchange St., Akron). This comprehensive retrospective which runs from Oct. 1 - Dec. 2, honors the experience and creativity of present and past advanced ceramic students, faculty, visiting artists and art educators who have all been connected to the school through Donna Webb, well-known ceramicist and professor at the Myers School of Art.

The opening reception on Thursday, Oct. 4 from 5 – 8 pm is free and open to the public.

Under the guidance of Webb, co-curators Beth Lindenberger, artist and adjunct faculty at the Myers School of Art, and Rod Bengston, gallery director, have assembled over 400 unique works in clay from more than 100 artists. These fascinating and imaginative pieces range in size from miniatures to Kirk Mangus’s life size “Soldier”.

The Emily Davis Gallery is open from 10-5 Mon.-Sat., with evening hours on Wed. and Thurs. until 9 pm.
