Up 'til Dawn Prize and Sponsorship Chair opening Dec. 21 - Jan. 4

The Up ‘til Dawn student organization is looking for an outgoing student who is fit to fill the Prize and Sponsorship Chair. Up ‘til Dawn is a student organization that raises awareness and funds for the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The prize and sponsorship chair helps coordinate all the prizes to give to students that are taking part in the Up ‘til Dawn activities. Fundraisers - Department of Development - Telemarketing Positions Jan. 28

The Department of Development is looking for 8-10 great students to call UA alumni and friends. The telemarketing campaign runs both fall and spring semesters. This Spring - calling/training will start on Monday January 28 and run until May 1, 2008. We do not call over Spring Break.

Caller qualifications: Sales or telemarketing experience preferred, but will train the right person. You must be a proud UA student who is motivated, dependable, friendly ,and extremely reliable. You must also be a full-time student taking at least 12 credit hours.

Evening Hours: Monday – Thursday from 6 to 9 p.m. (flexible, but you must be able to dedicate at least two to four evenings per week).

Pay rate: $7.50 per hour plus incentives and bonus.


The call center is located in the Taylor Institute for Direct Marketing – fifth floor of the Polsky Building.

The University of Akron's Zipmail is a compilation of University announcements for University students, sent each Friday unless circumstances require otherwise. The deadline for submissions to be considered by the University is 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Zipmail is a University of Akron communication vehicle established for the benefit of The University of Akron to communicate with its students. Items will be accepted for publication only when the University is directly involved in the activity through participation, sponsorship, or partnership with one of its recognized organizations, colleges or departments. The University reserves the right to edit or to refuse to run any submission for any reason. Zipmail is not, nor is it intended to be, a public forum or a limited public forum. Questions about the implementation of this policy may be directed to zipmail@uakron.edu.

Items to be considered for inclusion in Zipmail should be sent through the Zipmail Event Submission Form. Due to the volume of submissions received, items will not run more than one time.
