|Photo exhibit: Submit image depicting your Akron Experience|
|UA Photo Exhibit is a chance for you to share a part of your Akron Experience with the UA community.
All current UA students are invited to submit one photo that may be chosen for display in the Student Union. Photos should depict what your Akron Experience looks like to you. As part of a new art initiative in the Student Union, photos will be displayed for up to one year in the building.
Submissions should be emailed to UAPhotos12@gmail.com, should be a maximum file size of 25MB, and should be a high quality print photograph.
Please include in your submission: Name, Address, Phone Number, Student ID #, Email Address, and Title of Photo. Submissions are due January 31, 2013.
Photographs that are submitted will be juried by a group of students, faculty, and staff. If your work is chosen for the display we will let you know via email. By submitting your images to UA Photo Exhibit you give The University of Akron permission to keep a copy of your image and/or display it publicly. |Think Spring!! Join serveAkron for an Alternative Spring Break Experience!||Jan. 14
|lternative Spring Break (ASB) is designed to raise awareness of social issues and injustices through educational and volunteer focused opportunities and provide a variety of low cost, 3 or 5-day service experience.
All ASB 2013 trips will travel during the week of Saturday, March 24 and all trips cost $250.00 and include: food, lodging, transportation, and recreation activities!

|Accepting research proposals on topic of women and gender for conference|
|The Graduate Committee for Research on Women and Gender is pleased to announce a conference showcasing Undergraduate and Graduate students original research on women and gender.
The conference will be held April 19-20 at the University of Akron.
We are currently accepting proposals for posters, papers, presentations, and workshops.
Proposals are due Jan. 31. Submission guidelines and conference information

There are currently positions opening for Spring 2013.
The Judicial Branch:
- Reviews parking appeals
- Interprets governing documents
- Reviews student organizational grievances and Constitutional questions
- Plans USG Presidential and Vice-Presidential Debates
- Works closely with several departments on campus such as:
-Student Judicial Affairs
-Attend weekly branch meetings, Friday 3pm-5pm
-Maintain good academic standing with the University of Akron
-Maintain at least 12 credits with a 2.0 cumulative GPA
-Complete four office hours per week
-Assist with USG projects when requested
-Serve on a branch committee as assigned.

Well your very own University of Akron Fire Protection Society will sponsor a study group to get you prepared! As of today we are looking for people interested in attending this study group.
Once Akron Fire Department announces the dates for the test then we will announce when this group study will take place.
