Yes, We Welcome Guest Students!

Whether you want to earn college credit over the summer to get ahead or take a course on our campus that fits your schedule, becoming a guest student at The University of Akron is simple and straightforward. Students who are currently enrolled at another college or university and plan to transfer credits back to their home institution are considered guest students. And YES, we would love to have you take a class as a guest at UA!

Criteria:

If applying to be a guest undergraduate student, you should have a high school diploma, a GED or its equivalent. If applying to be a guest graduate student, you should have a baccalaureate degree.

You are in good standing at your home institution.

A Guest student can take courses at UA for up to two consecutive semesters. Also, a Guest student may not attempt more than 16 credits in any semester. After two consecutive semesters, you must reapply for admission as a transfer student.

How to apply:

1. Complete and submit the application

2. Submit your college/university transcript.
