Engineering & Computing Tutoring Program

The College’s tutoring program provides free supplemental educational services to undergraduate students majoring in any field of engineering, computer science, or computer information systems.

We are here to support students with coursework that may be challenging for you. Our student tutors will help you work through difficult concepts so you can get succeed as a student at The University of Akron. Subject-based group tutoring, along with private tutoring sessions, are in-person. Online sessions through Microsoft TEAMs can be arranged.

How this works

  • Tutoring is not required — but encouraged if you need the extra help.
  • Our tutoring sessions are in-person, located in the Resource and Success Center in ASEC 104.
  • Subject-based group tutoring sessions (2-hours) are available to all students taking Basic Electrical Engineering, C++ Programming, Circuits I, Circuit II, Computer Science I, Computer Science II, Dynamics, Introduction to Thermo Processes, Material & Energy Balances, Mechanics of Solids, Networking Basics, Router & Routing Basics and Statics.
  • Group tutoring sessions are scheduled at specific times. If you would like a private tutoring session at a time convenient to you, you may directly email your class specific tutor or CEPSTutoring@uakron.edu for additional hours.
