Parking Legally

In order to maintain the parking lots and decks at The University of Akron, anyone coming on campus must pay to park. There are three options available to you:

• Purchase a Parking Permit


• Park at a Parking Meter


• Park in the Visitor Lot

Coming to the Parking Office

Anyone visiting the Parking Office for the purpose of purchasing a permit may park in the gated visitor lot on Buchtel Avenue (directly across from the Parking Office) free of charge. If you do this, please bring the ticket that you received from the dispenser to the Parking Office for validation. If the visitor lot is full, then legal parking may be found at a meter. Unfortunately, we cannot reimburse you for money used to feed a meter.
