CAREER EVENTS

Over the past seven years the Philosophy Department has held several Career Events, sponsored by the Arts & Sciences Careers Program Office, where philosophy alumni returned to campus to speak with current students about what they have accomplished with their philosophy degrees.

One event featured:

  • Mary Eritano – Supervisor, Barberton Public Library
  • Kurt Minson – CEO, MGroup Consultants
  • Jon Ressler – Attorney, Roose & Ressler
  • Tim Radwany – Group Service Representative, Consolidated Benefits Agency

Another event featured:

  • Stephen Banig – Investigator, Department of Labor
  • Jack Friend – Goodwill Industries
  • Laurence Kendrick – Counselor, Moundbuilders Guidance Center
  • Jeffrey Miller – American Civil Liberties Union of Ohio

Students who attended these programs found the speakers to be motivating and gained a greater understanding of the importance that philosophy can hold for their future career choices.

Future Career Events will be advertised here—as details become available.  The next such event is tentatively scheduled for 2013.
