This 1½ day course will review a wide variety of construction methods including three piece “silentbloc”, center joint bonded and fully mold bonded bushings. Various styles will be examined including oval, voided, rate plated, slippery inner metal, special inner metals, self lubricating “SLE” and hydraulic bushings. A review of assembly techniques, rate calculations, static, dynamic and fatigue testing in all directions “TRAC” will be covered. A semi efficient vulcanization “SEV” natural rubber bushing recipe will be provided during compounding discussion. Rate results in radial, axial, torsion and conical directions from a variety of rubber bushings will be provided.
Please note: First day course time 8:00am - 4:00pm. Second day course time 8:00am - 12:00pm.

Registration for a class is due three weeks prior to the scheduled class date.

Checks should be made payable to "The Akron Polymer Training Center" and must include a copy of your completed registration form. COURSE FEES ARE DUE PRIOR TO ATTENDING.

Course fee includes classroom instruction, instructional materials, parking permits, continental breakfast, lunch, beverages, and refreshment breaks. Travel and hotel accommodations are not included.
