Borrow a bike to zip across campus, explore downtown, or ride along the Towpath trail. Bicycles are available for FREE to all current students, faculty, and staff of The University of Akron. Come take a ride!
Bike share is closed for the season. Weather permitting, it will resume in March or April.
Twenty bikes are available to be checked out for the day. Bring your Zip Card to one of the two locations. Helmets and locks are included. Return your bike by the posted return times.
Using a bike is FREE for current students, faculty, and staff of The University of Akron. Your Zip Card is required for check out.
Bikes must be returned before dark or posted closing times, whichever is earlier. Bicycle helmets should be worn at all times. Riding on sidewalks is permitted in the city of Akron. Bicycles must yield to pedestrians on sidewalks and crosswalks.
The University of Akron bike share program is a collaboration between the Knight Foundation, Summit Cycling Center, and The University of Akron. A generous grant from the Knight Foundation allows the equipment and services to be available for the campus community at no charge.
