Assignment:

For the first week of class please read pages 1 to 6 and 31 to 64 in Cases and Materials on Criminal Law, 7th ed.,

**NOTE:

Note 1 - The Sixth edition may be much less expensive and will suffice (mostly). If you choose the Sixth edition, there will be times when some of the assigned reading is not in your book. Perhaps you can get it from a classmate.

Note 2 - I recommend Joshua Dressler's treaties, Understanding Criminal law. I will not be giving you specific assignments from this book but the book should be helpful to clarify and deepen your understanding of the topics we discuss in class. The seventh edition (2015) is the most recent but earlier editions are less expensive and will suffice.
