Brant T. Lee is a Professor of Law. Professor Lee teaches Property; Feminist and Race Theory; Employment Discrimination; and Problem-Solving Workshop. Prior to joining the Akron Law faculty in 1997, Professor Lee served as Counsel to the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee, and in the White House as acting Deputy Staff Secretary and Special Assistant to the President. Professor Lee writes in the area of race and complex systems. Recent articles include "The Network Economic Effects of Whiteness" (53 American University Law Review 1259 (2004)), "The Devil in the Details: On Intelligent Design, Racial Conspiracy Theories, and the Theology of Whiteness" (26 Quinnipiac Law Review 57 (2007)), and “Biological Metaphors for Whiteness: Beyond Merit and Malice,” (13 Berkeley Journal of African American Law & Policy 101 (2011)).
