Biography

Richard C. Cohen has been with The University of Akron School of Law since 1983. He is currently an Associate Professor of Law and Director of the Legal Research and Writing Program. He received his B.A. from Emory University and his J.D. from The University of Connecticut. Professor Cohen teaches Contracts, Legal Analysis, Research and Writing, and Legal Drafting. He has been admitted to the bar for the Connecticut Supreme Court and the U.S. District Court, District of Connecticut. Professor Cohen's professional memberships include the Association of American Law Schools - Section on Legal Writing. Prior to joining the faculty at Akron Law, Professor Cohen was an associate with Cohen and Wolf and an instructor at The University of Bridgeport School of Law (now Quinnipiac).
