GERM 101 - BEGINNING GERMAN I 

4.00 credits
This course is designed to teach students to understand German in predictable contexts, on familiar topics, as spoken by native speakers. Students will learn to speak about personal interests and experiences, describe and narrate in the present tense and past as well as converse about future and potential events. Writing comprehension will also be demonstrated in the form of writing short compositions. Students will develop strategies for reading and understanding authentic texts in German as well as develop an awareness of the culture of German-speaking people.

GERM 102 - BEGINNING GERMAN II

4.00 credits
This course is designed to teach students to understand German in predictable contexts, on familiar topics, as spoken by native speakers. Students will learn to speak about personal interests and experiences, describe and narrate in the present tense and past as well as converse about future and potential events. Writing comprehension will also be demonstrated in the form of writing short compositions. Students will develop strategies for reading and understanding authentic texts in German as well as develop an awareness of the culture of German-speaking people.
Prerequisites: GERM 101 or equivalent. 

GERM 201 - INTERMEDIATE GERMAN I

3.00 credits
This course will develop speaking, writing, listening, and reading skills through a series of contextualized communicative activities. It has been designed to provide you with the foundations of elementary-level German and gradually build your knowledge of vocabulary and grammatical elements. You will be able, and provided the opportunity, individually or in group, to discuss topics, talk about yourself, your interests, and your daily activities and to write short dialogues and compositions. 
Pre-requisites: GERM 102 or equivalent.

GERM 202 - INTERMEDIATE GERMAN II

3.00 Credits
This course will develop speaking, writing, listening, and reading skills through a series of contextualized communicative activities.
