Scholarships for Transfer Students

DEADLINE - May 1 for fall semester and Nov. 1 for spring semester:
To be considered for scholarships, students must submit an Admission Application to The University of Akron by May 1 for the fall semester and Nov. 1 for the spring semester.

The University of Akron Transfer Scholarships

To be eligible, students must have completed 30 semester hours or 45 quarter hours prior to transferring to UA. The awards are divided evenly over two semesters. Mid-year transfers would receive only the spring half of the award, if funds are available. Renewable.

• $1,500 award requires a 3.50 cumulative GPA
• $1,000 award requires a 3.25 cumulative GPA

Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship - $1,000

To qualify, students must be an active member of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. Students should submit proof of active membership with the Scholarship Application.
