The School of Allied Health

The School of Allied Health in The College of Health Professions offers associate and baccalaureate programs that lead to rewarding and productive careers in the field of health care.

Each program provides quality classroom and clinical instruction designed to train students with the knowledge and skills critical in working in a variety of health care fields. Clinical rotations or practicums in a health care setting are required for completion of each degree. These clinical experiences will afford the student the opportunity to use the skills taught in class to perform tasks within their particular discipline. Clinical practice gives the student an opportunity to function in a realistic work environment under the supervision of clinical faculty or other health care professionals.

Those programs with a separate application process have limited enrollment. Students must be admitted to the College of Health Professions and The University of Akron.
