“The Everything HR Kit…A Complete Guide to Attracting, Retaining and Motivating High-Performance Employees” is the recently released 3rd book by best-selling author John Putzier ’74, M.S., SPHR.
Putzier graduated cum laude from The University of Akron in 1974 with a B.S. in Industrial Management. In 1985, he graduated top of his class from The American University with an M.S. in Organizational Behavior.
A performance improvement consultant and subject matter expert on current and emerging workplace issues and trends, Putzier is the founder and president of FirStep Inc. which provides workplace strategies for high performance.
Putzier has shared his perspectives on organizational behavior, human resources and performance management through many appearances in the news media including CNN, NPR, The Wall Street Journal, USA Today and many others. Most recently, he was invited to address the 2010 HR Summits in Singapore and Hong Kong.
He has served on the adjunct faculties of Carnegie Mellon University and Robert Morris University where he taught Organizational Behavior and Human Resource Management. He was the Founder and Past President of the Society for Human Resource Management High-Tech-Net and the National Speakers Association Pittsburgh.
