CBA’s Sales Program Ranked # 3 in U.S. and Canada11/02/2010
In a recent study conducted by the Center for Sales Leadership at DePaul University, the CBA’s sales management program was ranked # 3 out of 68 sales and sales management programs in the U.S. and Canada.
The # 1 position went to the University of Toledo’s professional sales program and DePaul University’s sales leadership program was ranked 2nd.
The study examined the content and scope of sales education programs in universities and colleges in the United States to determine individual and overall progress towards excellence.
The primary objective of the research was to investigate, from a wide range of reliable sources of information (including industry magazine articles, organization listings, conference attendance records and organization membership), the ongoing status of educational programs in sales and sales management at the university and college level.
Criteria examined included accreditation, demographics, resources, affiliations, course curriculum, corporate education, corporate partnerships, and research activities.
A secondary objective of the study was to provide an evaluation and comparison of the respective programs to encourage best practices among the limited number of universities and colleges who provide education in sales and sales management.
The CBA’s sales management program is one of only 13 certified, professional sales programs in the world. Through the Ronald R. and Diane C. Fisher Institute for Professional Selling, the college is shaping the next generation of sales professionals and promoting professional sales as a lifetime career choice.
Dr. Linda Orr, interim director of the Fisher Institute, has been working hard to continually improve the institute.
