This August we held our first MBA Horizons program for new MBA students. Students had the opportunity to participate in an Emotional Intelligence workshop by Pradco with individual assessment and developmental feedback. They learned the role of Emotional Intelligence in leading and personal development. A panel of UA MBA alumni and current students discussed their experiences in the MBA program and held a Q&A session for the new students. The highlight of the competition was a sample team project/case study of an actual business problem. Students visited the business site, met with the owner to discuss the issues of the case and then broke up in to teams. Professors gave guidance to the teams as they worked on solutions and prepared a presentation. This was a great opportunity to see what our MBA students do in the classroom. Of course they also had the opportunity to network with other students!
