Matt Wieland Visits the School of Accountancy

Matt Weiland, an assistant professor at the University of Georgia, visited us recently and presented a research paper titled “Do firms’ nonfinancial disclosures enhance the value of analyst services?” Matt is an alumnus of the University of Akron. He earned an accounting degree in 1997, worked at Arthur Andersen for three years and then pursued a Ph.D. degree at Indiana University in 2005. In Spring 2011, we expect to have presenters from Michigan State University and Penn State University at our workshop.
