The Accountancy Board has scholarship commitments available for qualified students majoring in accounting who wish to sit for the CPA examination. The student must demonstrate financial need and be currently studying in a program that will meet the educational requirements for the CPA certificate.
A student may apply for a scholarship commitment as a junior or senior. There are still scholarships available for fall term of 2010 as well as for the rest of academic year 2010-11.
The scholarship funds are distributed to assist students with the fifth year of academic study. Most students who apply will receive some money and all you need to apply is good standing in UA’s Accounting program and a FASFA form that shows financial need. You can get up to $10,500 to support your final year in the BS/MS Accounting program.
