Marketing department chair, Dr. Bill Baker, has been asked by Jeff Salamon, Director of Cub Cadet Marketing at MTD, to serve as one of five judges in Cub Cadet’s Future Vision Contest.
Sponsored in collaboration with Popular Mechanics, the contest is part of Cub Cadet’s 50th anniversary celebration. It requires contestants to submit their vision of the next 50 years of innovation in outdoor power equipment.
Over 2,000 entrants have submitted futuristic product concepts in the lawn and garden product category. In the next few weeks, Baker and the other judges will review the submissions and select semi-finalists, narrowing the field to 50 entries. Then, online voting will begin.
Five winners will be selected. They will each receive $5,000 and will have their ideas published in Popular Mechanics.
