Biography

Justyn Frost, M.S. (he/him/his) is a doctoral intern completing his Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology at the California School of Professional Psychology with Alliant International University (San Diego). During his doctoral training, he has worked in various inpatient and outpatient settings, treating a wide range of presenting concerns with individuals across the lifespan. Prior to embarking on his doctoral training, he achieved a terminal Master of Science degree in Counseling Psychology. He then practiced internationally, under supervision, as a Masters-level psychotherapist since 2018 in diverse outpatient settings providing a wide range of clinical services. Justyn has experience working with and supporting clients utilizing third-wave Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), with a trauma-informed and culturally responsive therapeutic approach. In therapy, Justyn strives to collaboratively explore his client's concerns, stay curious, and be empathetic to find opportunities for healing and growth, understand and challenge old patterns that may no longer serve them, and develop a greater sense of hope and psychological flexibility. A major part of his practice and training has incorporated social justice and advocacy, where he helps those who have been underserved and marginalized navigate systemic issues they encounter. Justyn is also passionate about conducting culturally informed psychological assessments with clients presenting with a range of concerns (e.g., ADHD, ASD, LDs, mood-related disorders, and lifetime transitions). In his free time, Justyn enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, and trying new cuisines.
