Todd Gaffke is assistant professor of saxophone at The University of Akron, receiving this appointment in August 2013. He was previously visiting college lecturer at UA. Prior to joining the UA faculty Gaffke taught at Grand Valley Stage University. He will be receiving his DMA in saxophone performance in December 2013 from Michigan State Univeristy, studying with Joseph Lulloff. He has won numerous awards including Downbeat Magazine's Student Music Award for Classical Soloist: Graduate Division. He performed with the Harry James Orchestra and is a member of the North American Saxophone Alliance, the College Music Society and NAfME.
