Patricia LaNasa, soprano, earned her Bachelor's degree and Master's degree in vocal performance from The University of Akron. She has performed numerous opera roles, including Lady Billows in Albert Herring, First Lady in Die Zauberflote, Miss Todd in The Old Maid and the Thief, Arminda in La Finta Giardiniera, Madame Terentia in Captain Lovelock, and Mother Grieg in Song of Norway, performed with Dorian Opera Theatre in Decorah, Iowa. A frequent soloist with UA's Concert Choir and Chamber Ensemble, she was a featured soloist with the Singers Companye's summer 2008 tour of Italy, The University of Akron Choirs on their 2006 European tour, and with The University of Akron Orchestra at UA's "Shining at Severance" in 2003. Principal voice study is with Dean Southern, and piano study with Christina Tan. She is an associate artist with Opera Cleveland and Coordinator of Events for the School of Music.
Ms. LaNasa is a member of the American College of Musicians and the National Association of Teachers of Singing.
