| Each spring, a few days before graduation, the senior class celebrates their accomplishments with an elegant, formal pinning ceremony. A huge event, usually held in the Student Union Ballroom offers the pomp and circumstance specific to nursing. Faculty and student awards are presented on this occasion as well as the individual presentation of The University of Akron School of Nursing Pin to each graduating senior. Seniors may either purchase or borrow a pin for the occasion, so that everyone who wants to participate in the ceremony can be included. It truly is a wonderful way to mark the completion of the nursing major! |
