
Celebrate UA Pride Day before the first home football game
A new era of Zips football begins on Thursday, Aug. 30, when the team opens the 2012 season at home against the University of Central Florida Knights at 7 p.m. under first-year head coach Terry Bowden.
To celebrate, Student Life will host its first UA Pride Day. When you’re not in class, check out the fun. You’ll find lots of activities from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. inside the Student Union and from 3 to 5 p.m. on Coleman Common (behind the Student Union - show on map).
Wear your blue and gold, show your spirit and come have some fun!
Student Union, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
- Caricature artist
- Free popcorn (first 1,000 students will get a megaphone, too)
- Free thundersticks (to first 150 students who “like” Student Life on Facebook)
- Meet and Greet with UA athletes
- Sign-up for AK-Rowdies
- Photo booth
- Athletics tent with giveaways and ticket promotions
