Who is considered a transfer student?

A Transfer Student is a student applying for admission to The University of Akron (UA) who has formerly attended another regionally accredited institution of higher learning. A Transfer Student is also considered a Transfer Student if he/she attended UA after high school, transferred to another school and is returning to UA.

The Transfer Student Services Center is located in Simmons Hall, room 211. We are available from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, to assist you. You are also welcome to contact us by telephone at 330.972.7009 or by email at transfer@uakron.edu.
