David Simmons, Assistant Professor of Polymer Engineering

Simmons comes to UA’s Department of Polymer Engineering from the National Institute of Standards and Technology. Simmons received his Ph.D. in chemical engineering from the University of Texas at Austin. His research interests include polymers for use in organic photovoltaics; structure and dynamics of lipid bilayers; dynamics of confined flowing polymers and soft materials; and the physics of glass formation.
